Mahad’ad-Dawa Institute

The Orientation and Facilitation Centre (Markaz’at-Tas’heeli wa’t-Taujeeh) of MDI differs somewhat to the other branches of the Institute. While students choose just one professional department – Journalism and Mass Communication, Business and Economic Studies or Unani Tibb (Traditional Herbal Medicine) – in which to study, the courses of the Orientation and Facilitation Centre are followed by all students, from all three professional departments. The courses of the Orientation and Facilitation Centre orientate students to a life of service in the light of Islamic teachings, and in a contemporary context. At present, the courses cover Human Rights, International Humanitarian Law, Environmental Studies, Humanitarian Principles and Practice, Character Building, Home Economics, Political Science.
